A humble question
Does leaderboards have any sense if the yellow coins are scattered randomly every time you play a level?

Btw im liking this game a lot. Didn´t expect this fun!

The overall coin count per level is consistent. So the Prison will always have 47 coins, and so forth. The way they are distributed in the level is random, and the leaderboards accept any score from any configuration of coin placement.

I know what you mean Vatticson, and it could sure play a role in the early levels, but i guess the more complex a level gets, the less important it really is. Yeah, sure, you could be lucky with the overall coin distibution in a level, but often times, one coin is a bit harder to get and another is right in your path. If it costs you a second or two, it only matters for the top of the leaderboard, and they will play a level again and again anyway until they found the best path.

At the end, i guess its better for replayability than harmful for highscores. i played some of the levels a lot so far, and i know the layout pretty good; it is still fun though because i still need to find all those coins, i can't run through on "autopilot".

I don't think the coin placement varies so much that it will truly matter for so many players especially later on. And those who want to speedrun will do so regardless. I think the coins represent a challenge but it would be cool to have a mode with consistent coin layouts!

Mmhh, interesting.

I didn´t reach the final levels, where the game is more complex than the early ones, so i can´t say too much but i think im going to agree with you when i get to those.

I already agree that it will damage the replayability if the coins weren´t randomized. The game´s ok... i was just thinking of the ladder a little!
