Thieves vs Guards
I know it's just a small indie game, but if they ever made a mode similar to Spies vs Mercs from Splinter Cell I'd play the hell out of it.

The 'sight' mechanic in this game would suit it perfectly. You'd have to have people keeping watch while your guy cracks the safe, and guards would have to keep on their toes so they don't get jumped from behind.

The game would obviously have to be altered a bit to accomodate this, but man, if they ever make a sequel and a mode like this is implimented it'd be a day one buy for me. Anyone have any interesting multiplayer ideas like that?

sounds great....a thiefs vs guards mode combined with the upcoming level editor could give this masterpiece of a indie game a great kick and maybe the community will grow more =D

wouldn't all the guards just stand around the safe with shotguns?

it would need to be completley random, so noone knows where the safe is, thieves must find the safe while guards search for the thieves

One thing the guys talk about a lot is a game mode they tried to implement. One of them was a cops vs robbers style which sounds very similar to what you describe! It's on the radar but anything like this is always going to be a budgetary decision at this point ):

Well if they did it like Splinter Cell, they could have multiple objective points, so that the guards have to patrol the different areas, forcing them to move around. Also in Splinter Cell, there were usually always more objectives than there were guards, so the guards were forced to leave places unguarded to go check other areas out, leaving oportunities for the spies to slip in.

As I said, there would have to be some fiddling with the game to get it to work well I think.

Sounds like it'd be amazing if done correctly.

Interesting idea.

Devs should release modding tools. I'd definitely have a go at creating TTT or death run.

Make some single floor lvls that are huge though, and it could be done. Kinda reminds me of the coop version of pac man for the gamecube.

We spent a few months prototyping a cops vs robbers mode because we really wanted to have a good PvP mode in here. We still love the idea, but as time ran short, we had to finish and polish the existing project instead of adding more features to it.

We hope to return to the idea of cops vs robbers, but in order for it to be quality content, we will need time and resources to fully flesh it out.

i think next should be the level editor to keep people playing...ive allready finished 70% of the missions with coop, all coins and no death.

Thank you for replying!

That's pretty much how I thought it went. Everyone seems to think it's a great idea, so I hope you guys get the resources you need to see it come together. Haven't bought the game myself yet, but I played it at a friend's house and thought it was amazing. Keep it up!
