I've played the whole game using a PS3 controller.
Here's the steps you need to take.

1) Download latest http://www.motioninjoy.com/
2) Follow steps on site to setup.

I will post links to the two setup pages on their site. But basically after you've loaded the drivers you go to the main page and select 360 PROFILE and it works flawlessly.

You need to find x360ce 3.1.4.1 - it's easy to find and it works. I tried with 2.1 version first, it didn't work at all with Monaco. Figured I'd try to see if 3.1 will make any difference and it works perfectly.

x360ce worked better for my PS2 controllers, better interface, less fiddly.

There is a MUCH better tool availible for the DS3.
It doesn't quite have a recognized name yet, but it is very compatible. The best part about this driver is that you don't even need to open the app again after you've got it all set up. It runs as a service in the background and allows you to connect and disconnect your DS3 to your PC over bluetooth at any time without opening any extra applications. Also, the developer is very active and helpful to any reported problems.

I found this tool after getting annoyed with MiJ's numerous oddities, bugs, network requirement, buggy offline version, and ads served in the client. Also its lack of developer support. MiJ is a piece of ♥♥♥♥ that should not be recommended anymore, now that we have an alternative.

I had to get a modified version to make my dpad work in x360ce, so if anyone else have problems with that then i would be happy to share. Definitely a better choice than Motioninjoy and the post above thid ^ Never worked for me.

I have 2 controller. 1 xbox and 1 logitech. the logitech works with x360ce, but 2 controllers at the same time doesnt work. i dont understand why?

okay, two pads works now. but LT and RT dont work. i changed everything in the ini but LT and RT doesnt work. help anybody?

x360ce 3.1.4.1 worked for me with my assortment of random controls (one of which isn't even analog). I had to edit the .ini file to assign IDs for each of them (-1 is disabled, only one is enabled by default)

is it possible to play with 1 ps3 controller and someone at the keyboard? just asking because motioninjoy is just simulating keystrokes and therefore acts as if your controller is your keyboard, does that mean i can only go for singleplayer? or is there a profile that works for my problem (in motioninjoy)?
