2 Weeks Since Last Patch: What's up guys?
Just checking in to see what the deal is. It has been a long time since the last patch and that was only a small (though very necessary) fix. I am sure the community would love to hear a bit of what the developers are up to and when they can expect further patches. Please keep in touch with us Community Manager(s).

Hi TheSeannachaidh!

Thanks for reaching out. We are currently working on another patch as we speak but I don't have a release date for it yet. I will check back with you when I get a firm date.

Thanks very much for the response Melanee :)

You bet! When I can give you something more concrete and informative I'll let you know :)

2 Weeks really isn't a long time for developing a patch, be patient?

Hey outlaw - that's a new issue we're seeing but we are working on replicating it so that we can get to the bottom of the problem.

Thaeos, it isn't like I thought that they had abandoned the game. I was more looking to engage a bit of communication between the devs and the community. I think it would be interesting if there was a Community Hot Topic / Developers' Workshop kind of section on the Steam discussion boards to communicate a bit of what is in the pipeline for the game.

Bah, you can forget that idea, Melanee completely threw even the easier ideas of giving us at least weekly updates on what the team is working on...

It wouldn't be Melanee that threw, it would be up to the developers of the game as to what bugs they can talk about fixing. I give Melanee credit for being diligent in answering people's threads and passing on bugs and things to the developers.

Most community managers would keep it all in one official thread or ignore the Steam forums all together.

I guess, but most of her posts ends up feeling a bit the same, giving work arounds, telling to wait for the team to fix the problem.

She might not be responsible for this, but she is the one that is supposed to keep the comunity from falling appart, and lack of infos, along with the questionnable sales (steam sale, followed by a place in the humble bundle), make the ones that are not completely pleased doubt that it will be fixedd soon, if ever.

I am happy to see that some people still play this game, but the situation is that the bundle ha shown this game to a wide audience, and most of them got♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥off by the state of the game, meaning that it' entirely possible that they will never come back to it if/when it becomes "perfect".
This also means that it will be that much harder to convince people to play when it reaches this state, because so many other people discarded it as a waste of time and/or money.

Back to Melanee, she definitely deserves creddit for not giving up after all the negativity, but iit doesn't change the fact that the problems are still not fixed, that the last patch was on 01/11 (or 11-01 for those that put month first), and no news about what will be fixed or when.

I coul nearly bet that next patch will be♥♥♥♥♥small as all the previous ones, maybe slightly bigger (not the download size, but the amount of things fixed), but definitely not the work of a team for a month.

Thanks for noticing Moose :) I am here for the players in every way that I can be.
It is cool to see a developer that pays attention to the forums

Except it's her job to manage the community as a community manager.

Well, I guess it's cool that she is doing her job, not like the previous one, but she is not a dev, even if steam says so.

There is no subterfuge at hand. The "Dev" Steam Badge applies to me as I am a community manager employed by the developer and funnel all feedback directly back to the Dev Team. It is the correct designation, as I also do not fall into any of the other Steam Mod categories such as Volunteer Mods or Steam/Valve employees.

All Mod definitions can be found in this link:

Jesus, Fel. You are acting like the very worst of a generation of unempathetic wheely-chair-dwelling internet trolls. She is a human being, so enough with your constant attacking.

No, I don't deny or disagree with you for a moment that we should get more information about the game more often, but those of us with some amount of sense are aware that Community Managers can only pass along whatever information they are afforded by the core Development Team. All that we can do is press them for information and hope that eventually the powers that be see the necessity of being more open with a community. Those powers are, alas, not Melanee. She merely acts as an Oracle to the Gods, so please stop shooting the messenger with posts like, "Melanee completely threw even the easier ideas of giving us at least weekly updates on what the team is working on." For 't'is not her decision to make, sir.

Also, Community Managers in EVERY game are considered a part of the Development Team...

And with that wonderfully cogent response I'm going to lock this thread to pre-emptively avert an inevitable torrent of written unrest, but don't worry TheSeannachaidh (and everyone!), I will still get back to the community with a patch release date as soon I get it!

Best & happy holiday weekend to whom the holiday applies!

Melanee :)
