Shame
Luckily I got this effectively free when the Humble bundle updated the pack so no financial loss but a waste of the download time...

Activated Steam key. Installed game. Clicked Play. Ran 1st time startup. Installing Raptr. Clicked cancel when the Raptr window popped up resulting in Steam, keyboard and mouse becoming non-responsive. Unable to shut down safely. Hard power off then Reboot PC. Restart Steam. Tried again, resulting in another system crash. Reboot PC and Start Steam again. Delete GoM-E local content.

Shame really, I was quite looking forward to trying this when it appeared in my Humble library. No mention of requiring Raptr to play anywhere on the Steam store page or the WB EULA which I read through that I could find though. It just tried to auto install without asking permission when I clicked the play button.

I had the same problem. I stripped Raptr out of my computer and the game runs fine without it. A pain though. I wish devs would not do this. Let us have an option to install other software. I'm having fun with the game now.

It doesn't require Raptr. Just ignore that dialog or uninstall Raptr if you've already installed it.

It is incredibly badly coded though. I just uninstalled the game because I've never come across so many ridiculously in your face bugs in a game. Having to wait ages for a multiplayer game only to find (i) your entire team is full of bots, or (ii) the game has decided you're using a controller for buttons and a mouse for movement, or (iii) it keeps pausing every two seconds, or (iv) it abruptly terminates your game blaming the internet connection, or .. well, you get the picture, it's no fun at all when things like that happen randomly.

Thanks for the info JThor and fauxtronic, I may try that down the line but I already have a whole list of games to play that are ready to rock and don't require jumping through hoops to get going. All the best to you.
