Will Humble Bundle bring this back to life?

I've been wanting to play GoME for ages, but the incredibly low population has been a massive turn off. Now I can get it for $5 through the humble bundle, but I'm kindve wondering what the odds are of this game coming back to life as a result. Any thoughts?

Why do you hate the game? Just saying "because I could be play DOTA" isnt a great reason. What is it about it that you don't like?

They didn't bother fixing all the issues prior to the bundle, sso the population will die out pretty fast is they don't react.

And there I thought that explaining to them how to make moneey on the long term with this title had any effect.

You have a few days of playing with people before you are back to friend list and bots.

Well I always wanted to play this game but i just didnt trust there would be enough players for the price of the game. I got it in the humble bundle and I can't find a game. There is 1 other player searching for queue. I'd love to play this game but i just cant get a game even if i wanted to.

well i just had my first game with some other guy, it wasn't you Horrors. The game seems buggy. my character was in battle, and i clicked away from battle to retreat, but he keeps turning back to the mobs to auto attack them so i couldnt retreat?? Then I died.

I tried again and had the same thing happen constantly.

I am attempting to play this buggy piece of trash. I honestly do not see the HIB thing reviving it. Not till the devs fix the mountain of issues this game has. Its one of the buggiest games, and one of the most frustraighting games I have seen due to those bugs. I have played in a lot of betas, and a few alphas of games. This is by far one of the buggiest ones I have played.. and this is supposed to be a released game.. If I had payed money for this specifically I would have been demanding a refund. Its terrible in its current state.

The only reason I can see playing this, judging from the comments, is if the match lengths are shorter than LoL and DoTA2 (e.g. Solstice Arena). Sounds like it's really poorly designed and not worth picking up, even for $5.

The game is bad, giving it out for free won't make people stick around when there are much better free altenatives.

The main issue is that it was designed for xbox 360 and you can feel that when playing. It's the most awkardly designed system for a PC moba

got this from humblebundle. didnt get the bundle for this game tho. looked at store page and it is immediatly obvious that this game is a just another cash grab dlc game. so many dlcs for 15 bucks just to unlock heroes which should be in the game in first place.

they prolly hoping some newcomers will figure hey i got it for 5 bucks might as well buy the dlcs.

maybe ill try it out down the road but def not right away. sure as hell wont buy any dlcs since i do not support companies that use DLCS as a cash grab

I just got this on Humble Bundle with the extra DLC they've just added.(x5)
What i've just read dissapoints, if you have 10 friends im sure you can have epic battles, or even 5 friends via AI sounds good. But it would be better if you don't compare apples to oranges. I played DOTA when it started as a mod for warcraft 3 frozen throne expansion and this is a different style of gameplay... not only that, the entire western mindset has middle earth as our historical imaginary play ground. You get to be EPIC in that setting with friends to boot.

I think all you need is a good bunch of friends, a lan night.... lots of burbon and middle earth as your play ground. I bought 5 copies... (actually i have 7 copies of fear 3 now and bat man AA 7 times batman AC 6 times) but 5 will go to my mates for this exact reason. Maybe i won't play online as much, but we definately will play together. No complaints at all... JUST GLEE IN EXPECTATION OF A GOOD FRIENDLY ONLINE GAMING, where we can all say in unison 'LETS DO WAR'

The game sems fine although I haven't tried playing with real players yet, just went through the tutorial and a practice match. Regarding the heroes/DLCs, all of them are actually available via in-game currency, it's when you want the alternates that you have to purchase the DLCs. I suggest to try and pick up the 3 DLCs being given away by Raptr.

Well I got this game for free now with the treasure DLC, so I may as well try it. The reason I didn't originally get it is because MOBAs are typically built around F2P, and with League+Dota2 out there, I see no reason to throw down money just to try a game. But now they've given me the game for free as I got the bundle for other titles, and before this was even put in it. I guess I'll try it. I have no real hope though because of all that I've read and it's MC score...

I dont think it will get big.
the reasons:
1. NO ITEMS that just makes a arena dota based game cluncky and odd
2. the game has high laggspikes for every player (might just be that there are problems with the server at the moment though)
3. the movement of the game feels like a realy old game
4. you do not get any advantage for killing a minion, if a minion kills a minion you get exactly the same this makes lasthitting and other things pointless and it morfs to a zerg pvp
5. it costs 18€ for a game that is for a Dota based game realy not good enough and you get far too much gold to make the dlc prices for those small amount of champions sound needlessly (okay skins and even more needlessly gold but thats all you could just make single skins purchasable)

to sume it up:
Free to play games are better than this game and most people will get frustrated with the price of 18€ and not play it much.
As for the humble bundle: I would have been sad if i purchased this game alone even for 5€... it realy is a bad dota based game :/

Well it is not bad on all points it has potential but as you use this at the moment I feel sorry for all the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit characters that they have to be in this game... Would be good if it wouldn't had tried to make some money out of Lord of the Rings as everyone wants a certain standard for LotR titles...

The game itself would make at least slightly fun for a small round if there weren't those lagg problems in the game.
