Graphics for it's time are well done, nothing special but I've seen worse. The facial capture for the characters was a great implementation, however they were not subtle at all, and you could easily make out when someone was bluffing or telling the truth.
Driving is pretty bad. The cars feel like they're on ice and the damage is pretty sub par.
The cases are back and forth. Some are pretty well told, others just feel drawn out. Another dissapointment was (SPOILER AHEAD) some cases, no matter how you do them, don't change the story at all, and give you the same outcome as if you did it just the opposite way.
Gunplay is pretty good. The cover system at times can be clunky, but it's alright. The guns at times feel like they aren't guns, just supersoakers, they have no recoil and your character moves with them like they're 2-3ibs. That said, it feels good to empty a full clip on someone or a car, and the sounds of reloading are like an ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in your ears.
Random events are well done, usually exciting, however they should have simply just made them available for all case desks, and not just 20 for VICE, 20 for ARSON, 20 for HOMICIDE etc... I understand it probably saved disc space but it's just a pain to have to load a whole new game just to do side missions.
All in all, okay game, nothing special. I wouldn't buy it unless on sale, (like I did) as it just really has no replay ability and it's nothing great.
