Possibility of porting your 360 save game to the PC version
Title says it all - I have the game on the 360 but I stopped playing midway for some reason. I was thinking of resuming playing it, but I don't feel like starting all over again.

Is there any way of putting the 360 save in the PC game? This may sound outlandish, but I managed to do that with Mass Effect 2, so it's not that far fetched.

Why not finish the game on your 360?

I have no clue if you can use 360 saves but if you managed to do it with ME2 then all i can say is try it and find out, you can always delete the saves if you dont work.
I think with ME2 though bioware put extra effort into save game porting, as a persistent save-game across titles was such an important feature.

So I guess I am doubtful that Remedy have done the same for the PC release of AW.

Though heck, give it a go! I would be interested to know if it works! :-D

Oh I don't thin the save game thing was planned by Bioware. I had to use 2 or 3 tools to make the conversion, I think I used modio and don't know what else.

Maybe I'll try it... If Alan Wake goes on sale again on christmas, because now I kinda lot the sale heh

Sorry man sounds like a "Technological Unprobability" , but now that i think about it id steam stores save games on its cloud and if steam was running on X360 maybe it could work both ways im not sure but i hope they implement something like this in the future for cross platform support u know like sony does it with PSP and PS3 but both belong to the same parent complany and besides that its something that the game devlopers have to think of way early while conceiving the game as you can see even now very few games offer this !

Oh yeah like "HatefulFallen" said its better to complete this on the 360 with a big TV display this game deserves that kinda looooooove

Oh, steam cloud might pose a problem... How does that work? Don't we have some local version of our save and that save is also copied to the cloud... or something like that? Can't we back up steam cloud saves locally should we desire for some reason?

As for playing on the TV, my computer is located in my bedroom and is right next to my bedroom TV. I have it hooked up on HDMI and I usually play some of my PC games with a 360 pad (the ones that work better with a gamepad at least) on that TV in 1080p.

PS.: Oh, the game is still with the 75% discount. I ended up buying it, I'll see if I can get the bloody save to work here. I'll try it on the weekend.
