xbox 360 controller disconnect problem

When the camera zooms to show the hitchhiker standing by your car the xbox controller turns off. The controller is not detected until I restart the game. This problem also happens the second time the hitchhiker confronts you.

It's really anoying, anyone have any ideas?

360pad works fine with all other game, just seems to be alan wake that it has problems with.

Funny this is a really odd problem the only time my controller turns off or blinks is when the charge is low , , however its very specific if it only happens when the camera zooms on the hitch hiker ,

Have you checked your X 360 drivers , 32 bit or 64 bit i remeber re-installing the drivers for a 64 bit system when i changed my operation system.

Also try "DISABLING" the Vibration on your controller and try that part with the hich hiker again.

Lastly be sure you are not running any other X-360 Controller Remmaping applications in the background if so turn them off and try again.
