Game runs poorly?!
Hi ! I recently bought Alan Wake and the game runs super poorly :/ I have a very good computer so what can I do? I have Asus laptop with i7 processor and Nvidia Geforce GT 635M 2G, I have graphic settings set to low at the game and it still doesn't run good

Sorry to say that the computer you have is not very good at all, the graphics card is really weak which is why the game runs poorly for you.

Meh, I have NVIDIA GeForce GT 230M and i run the game mostly on high. My graphics card is worst than the one OP has right ? So i don't think his problem is the card.

It all depends on what your resolution is set at, but I highly doubt that you can play the game with a high enough FPS on a GT 230m.

I use only the core i7 onboard graphics card and I am still able to play this game (I had to update to the latest non-OEM-driver, though.) And everything is on lowest settings, of course. But the great thing about this game is that it's strength lies in the story and the way it is told, so the graphics do not matter that much ;-)

Please, i play Borderlands 2 maxed, BF3 multiplayer on medium/high etc.
Really no problems at all.

why do people bother buying laptops for gaming ? its nuts , buy a PC

lol, I'd hate to put my GTX 260 against this game.
That card runs 15-20 degrees hotter than my GTX 660 on idle and the 660 gets pushed hard enough here.

This game is not Angry Birds.

What is you computer settting on? this may sound dumb, but some computer have energy saving setting on them and high performance setting. what I found is, if i don't have my pc set on high performance some games don't run very well.

635M is not gud.

you can improve it by installing new drivers and avoiding laptop change the video processing to the onboard graphics for power saving.
