HELP! How to save more than 1 game?
I have been trying to Start a new game in my Alan wake, but i don't want to loose what i have done in my actual game. I can't find any way in the menu to save different games, since the game seems to work with check points. Is there any way to save more than one match in this game? Im afraid of hit the "new game" menu and loose what i have done!

Does any one know how to do this?
ISSACKLARK 24. dec. 2012 kl. 23:08
Well Alan Wake saves you progress in two folds one is intially through CHECKPOINTS which happens in between chapters and the other is once you complete a chapter , so once you complete a game on a specific difficulty all chapters in that will be unlocked but if you start on a higher difficulty then youll have to start from the begining to get chapter unlocks for that specific difficulty againg , now coming to you question if i initiate a NEW GAME i think it will remove your ingame checkpoint but the chapter unlocks will remain i.e. if you have already completed on that difficulty , hope this clarified some doubts if not fell free to ask more !

Thank you for your answer ISSACKLARK. I was thinking about the same when i found those unlocked chapters... however, i was wondering if is it possible to save two gameplays at two different specific checkpoints... for example... i am playing alan wake, but my sister wants to play it too.., so we need diffferent game saves. But with this check point system, when we choose to continue a game play, only the last one played will load. I really miss multiple save slots feature in games since i use to save diferent slots myself just to be able to get back to an specific point in case i miss something or wanted to do something different.

Yeah well you are right on that , but thr thing is if you look at it from the devlopers point of view each game is lisenced individually to a single gamer , besides there is still no restricitons as to how many people including your sister can play your copy of the game , that chapeter unlock is still a god send it takes a little effort to start a beging of the chapter each time but if you have beaten the game once then youll know wehere your heading now in terms of real its a good decision because :-

Each time you start a chapter freshly you have to recollect weapons and supplies according to the story , which is realistic because if alan was carrying a single revolver throught the game it would have been unreal . So by this logic its better to force the plaer to take the supplies in the begining of the chapter where the game wants you to rather than load a checkpoint and have it in your hand.

Lastly think of it this way if the player reached a difficult area with no ammo because he used all of it near an old checkpoint then you would wish that you could restart the chapter and not the whole game from the begining, so you see it was thought over properly and then implemented.

I still think that multiple save slots are necesary. Yesterday i know for shure i missed an important part of the game... it was in a side path in the mines.... so i can't go back, i don't want to start from the begining of the chapter.... i just missed it.

As i remember you can make more than 2 profiles, try to find it cause i have been playing this game long time ago and forgot how to do it. But I swear its possible.
