Great game, one minor complaint though
I'm really enjoying this and glad they decided to bring it to the pc.
The combat, much like Max Payne, is awsome. If I had one minor complaint though, I think the game gives you too much ammo. On the harder difficulty settings I would like to make it so I am forced to look for ammo and make every shot count. It makes the battle arena sequences more tense imo.

At first I thought the game was hard because I was wasting countless clips on them. Then I realized it's a two stage fight. You keep the torch on them until they are in the "real world" then they die with only 2-3 shots. Now i'm almost fully stocked on ammo constantly.

Well i was going to say play nightmare but like you said on harder difficulty it makes it more tense and memorable, but since the devlopers did incorprate NIGHTMARE mode for people like us it means its not a flaw to begin with in the first place , right !

You have to unlock it, which is kinda lame and pointless imo.

From a story perspective it makes sense, you really shouldn't have the Nightmare manuscripts in your first playthrough.

From a play perspective it still is annoying.

I kind of agree that once you get a handle on the combat, it is pretty easy except in the rare case where you neglect a guy who gets behind you and you are waylay-ed on all sides. But, as I remember from playing NIGHTMARE on the Xbox version, it was quite the challenge because of limited ammo and harder enemies ... then again, it IS called Nightmare mode.
