not a fan
of games with trigger points/ point and click. I want something tangible I ineract with to tell me I'm progressing not a spot in the iniverse I have to pass. GOD I MISS THE OPEN WORLDS OF BETHESDA. And I'm also not a fan of having to possess ninja moves to find the hot points, while being beaten, to advance.

But, I am old and playing on my old win7 PC.

Try ESO?

eso?

Hard to understand that first post, but I think HB is recommending Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. There is is also Elder Scrolls: Skyrim that just came out not long ago. These are open world games with the option to play in first-person view. At least, I think that's what you're saying, that you'd rather play an open world game?

Oblivion rocks. And Fallout (bis/bethesda) rocks. Yes, I think I made that clear. Thanks for the clarification.

i ALSO DO NOT LIKE the constant storyline inter/uptions with stuff they obviously spent money on. It is just ANNOYING! If this is their way of playing backstory, I do not liek. It breaks the gameplay too much.

Vic, I'd rather play a game that is a game rather than a(n)/the narrative that is Alan Wake.

What "stuff"? Cut scenes? Because most games nowadays have cut scenes. And actually, some criticize Alan Wake for having too much gameplay (mainly the combat), can you believe that? Me personally, I think they did just fine with it. Didn't break the gameplay for me, I enjoyed it all.

Alan Wake is both. I play it every once in a while specifically for the combat and atmosphere; that's how I know it's a game ;)

Well then, I don't like most games nowadays. I'd like to meet the people who criticize "game play". Although, I must admit to being one, based on initial game play.

Maybe I need to play moar than 2 hours but the deluge of cutscenes make(s) it hard.

Forgive me if I play the part of an 18 year old in a 40+ year old's body.

Hehe, it's fine if you just don't like AW. We won't jump you for it like they will over GTA 5 :P

I loved this game. One of the best stories. The gameplay is decent, not great nor best.

But, you guys, this game isn't comparable to ES or FO even though they are brilliant.

What stuff? Yeah, the multitude of cutscenes ruined the immersion. I am familiar with cutscenes but not at every checkpoint, which might be 10 minutes. Or 2, if you find the trigger.

I will play more because I payed for it and it's fvcing expansion but I will not hold my breath.

GTA - I have 4 and based on that won't go further ;)
