To anyone considering this game

If cliffhanger endings piss you off, think twice. The game ends unresolved with major sequel bait, and while the developer has stated they would like to continue the series the chances of that sequel ever coming are not high.

The game itself is pretty good and has an interesting story, but don't buy if you hate unresolved endings.

American Nightmare doesn't fill anything nor does it make the story of the main game progress, it's a spin-off, hence a different story.

The very beginning of the game specifically states (quoting Stephen King) not to look for explanation, and that that mystery is what remains with you.
