I really want to enjoy the story but...
...the fights annoying me.

They are boring, hard (even on easy) and not spooky (even Skyrim is more spooky - really).

I gather all stuff which laying around but...
I played many other games like BioShock and Borderlands but...

I'm out of ammo most of the time.

When I barely killed three enemies ... after some walking the next three enemies appears and then the next and so on.

The fights are are hard and boring. Running away are useless because the enemies follow you, throw stuff on me, the stamina runs out, enemies appears in front of me and the backway is cut off from the other enemies.

I really want to enjoy the story but...

I hate the fights.

Every time somebody claims this game is hard I wonder what the hell the had been playing. And Skyrim is spookier? lolwut

Maybe you should upload a video, I would love to see how exactly you guys play.

Skyrim has deep graves, ambient music and weird monster.

Alan Wake has just some lumbermen with darkness around them.

That's like saying Lord of the Rings is boring because it's just about bringing some ring to a mountain. You can do that with anything. But whatever, you find Skyrim spookier, fine.

But as far as difficulty is concerned the only thing that occurs to me is that you're playing it too much like a third person shooter. Conserve your ammo, utilize flares/flashbangs with as many enemies as possible, use choke points etc etc It's really not that thard.

But I'm very good in games like BioShock and Borderlands. :claptrap:

It's just the way the game is intentended to be: being short on ammo gives you a sense of danger and uncertainty, supposedly.

I played tons of fps too and I've gone through the same: I could make it however.

If you feel you just cannot progress and you get bored to death to the point of uninstalling you can download a trainer: http://game copy world.com/games/pc_alan_wake.shtml

I'm playing on normal and I alsays have ammo and stuff, they just sometimes killing me, but it's mostly because of my lack of reaction rather than game being difficult. I'm currently recording a walkthrough, and I'm totally fine with the game.

this game is not hard, ive played on every difficulty, including nightmare...you must not be burning the darkness away first, i recently replayed this game on easy just because i love it so much and was never out of ammo...

burn the darkness away with the flash light first, then shoot. why is this concept so difficult for people to get, the game tells you to do it.

Thanks for the hint. Really. :FFXIIImog:

But I do this already.

I completed it on normal first time on a pc where I had 15-20 fps.
Just learn the mechanics, it's not that hard.
I like the story more than the gameplay it the story that keep me coming back for replays. The key to this game is burn the darkness off one at a time use dodge and go for head shots. I never used the reload on torch and always had max batteries that is how easy the gameplay is.

Maybe the OP needs a cheat engine or something? Dunno how to get one or where to look don't use them myself.

Make sure you're burning the darkness away from the enemies first with the flashlight. Use your batteries somewhat sparingly, try to keep dodging to let your health and flashlight recharge.

Use flares when you're surrounded and flashbangs when you have multiple powerful enemies in one spot or if you need to get out of a jam.

It's all about careful use of resources and not wasting ammo by shooting at enemies until the darkness is burned off them.

It's not hard at all, I beat it on Nightmare mode without too much issues. You're probably just playing it the wrong way. It's not a shooter, it's a survival horror game, which means that you should conserve most of what you have, and not kill everything that moves.

Just rush to the nearest light, and only kill the enemies that have to be killed, or are in your way. Also remember to dodge.
