Solution to use all game controller

Hi everybody,

I got many problems with my gamepad Thrustmaster 2 in 1 DT Rumble and tried almost all the solutions proposed in this forum and the wiki without any results. Then I finally found a universal solution : Pinnacle Game Profiler. I bought this software years ago but my licence was still active, then I redownload and reinstalled it.

With the game profiler, I created a profile for a steam game named Vessel the soft detected well then I mapped all Vessel keys and controls to my controller, and finally I disabled in the VesselKeys.ini the gamepad controller : IgnoreGamepad=1;
This step is VERY IMPORTANT because while Vessel detected your gamepad it will apply its own settings and ignored any mapping done by another software.

So, for the game, no gamepad controller was used, but Pinnacle Game Profiler mapped the keyboard and the gamepad controller to make it works and I used the VesselKeys.ini file to make easier the use of the mapped software. (OverrideDefaultKeys=1)
It's easy to have the file openned next to the Game Profiler window.

I was finally able to finish the first factory :)

I also have problems with my controller and other games such as Rochard (same Humble Bundle) and now I have a universal solution :)

Ok it's a paid software but when you have a controller and so many games not working well with it, it's really the solution.

If you have a PS3 controller, you can get a bluetooth USB adapter and have it set up with your computer in no time. You'll need seperate software to have it running properly, but the ones available are free and have settings so the controller is recognized the 360 controller. Takes a bit getting used to tho, since the button layout is different on the 360 controller, but otherwise it works perfectly fine. I personally use Better DS3, since it gives you more options and lets you make custom profiles, much like Xpadder.

You can also use x360ce to map any game device to the XBOX 360 controller the game natively uses.

Sorry to necro this but I got the game today and my controller is not recognised. More details about how to solve this issue?

The game doesn't recognize the controller or x360ce doesn't recognize the controller? You need to copy x360ce into your game folder and run it to configure your controller.

Well I copied the x360ce.ini to my game folder, also downloaded that file you linked, both 32 and 64bits.

Have tried with the exe file opened and w/o.

None of them helped me.

Perhaps the explanation wasn't fully clear.

Guess I'll have to give a bad review to this game for lying, because it clearly doest not have full controller support.

Sorry to hear. It's a great game, though it's rather finicky about controllers. I probably played it under Win7, which may or may not make a difference. Most of the time I think I played with the keyboard, only messing with the controller later.

Was just trying a 3rd party keyboard emulator which is not the idea when the game lies about having full controller support. It seems to work but I'll check yours too.
