The Linux port has been developed for a long time... will it be available here?

There is an installer for linux already, is it difficult to put it in steam or costly?
It seems like an obvious way to go.
I love this game, but I ditched windows, so I'm not playing this game anymore (sadly)...

Oh mighty devs... the port is done. publish it already.

They have stated (via email) that they will bring it over to Steam Linux, but they had some multithreading issues to sort first. This was a month ago though =/

This seems to be common - lots of games from Humble Bundle have Linux versions there but nothing in Steam.

+1 for a Steam version of Vessel!

Yeah, why not on steam? Currently only 30 of my 52 games work with Linux. (And yes, of course there are native Linux versions for all out there ;) )

The Linux port sucks all the way. Because of multithreading issues it has a lot of slowdowns which make the game almost unplayable even on good machines.

I think that the game will run fine in wine and even better than the native port. So try it there, I doubt that a fixed port for Linux will ever come.

Unfortunatelly I agree with you.

+1 I'd love to see a fixed port for Linux.
