how to change days of wonder account?
Ive bought iO>s versions of ticket to ride, and decided to buy also the computer version
But using the steam account, i cannot seem to change the days of wonder account so that I can let the kids play on their computers with their own accounts?

Is it possible to change daysof wonder account using the same steam-account?

Your question is kind of confusing. Let me start off by saying I had 2 accounts as well, a DoW account where I purchased the iOS games and a Steam account where I had Memoir 44 and TTR. What I did was went on the DoW site, logged in, and merged both accounts into one. Now the iOS games, the Steam games, and even my registered board games are under the same account.

As for your kids, I'm not sure which account you're talking about, do they have a steam account? Or are you talking about their DoW account.

I know you can log out of accounts in the Steam game via the settings.

Thanks for responding!
No I would want just one steam account to provide the option for logging on to separate DoW accounts

i, personally, would recommend, if you're using different computers and different accounts, to get multiple copies and tie each to your children's steam accounts... steam will only let you run one instance of the game, only on one computer; can't log in from multiple places at once, i dont think.

as for changing the account inside TTR itself... i dont know. haven't seen a way to do it.

well, i woudn't want to have to pay for the game trice ;)

I understand the limitation of simultaneous playing, but since we can run iOS devices with different accounts from the same Apple account, I think you should be able to buy-once and use on several devices too - at least as far as the game goes?
Steam, of course, is another matter... :P

Thanks for replying, but I guess I'm still at loss as to change the account in the Steam client :(

on the ipad, you can log out and back in with a new account.
settings>change login settings>DoW account>logout, hey presto.

you can make games between iOS and PC, the same way you would a regular online game, make it private and password protected.

hope this helps.
use the steam version for one person, and iOS for others.

apologies for not being able to help with the original problem

Yeah, it doesn't LOOK like you can change your log in once you're in on the Steam. This is driving me nuts as well, as I have an existing DoW account... but either it didn't prompt me when I logged in, or I missed it. So it created a new one. But it won't send me a password for it because I wanted to use my email address to get the password... and of course that email address is already linked to another account :-P

I'm sure I'll figure out a way to do the merge eventually, but this is a pretty wonky interface... and of course, that merge isn't even the right solution for people like the OP.

I have a similar problem. I already have a DoW account and I want to use it with the Steam version, but when I loaded the steam version it automatically created a second account without asking. I can't request a new password unless I give a completely different email address (which I can, but thats a pfaff) but I'd rather log out and log in with my DoW account.

The account that is created when you log in with Steam is tightly tied to (and based on) your Steam account. So you have to merge if you wan't to use your existing DoW account with Steam. As you've noticed requesting a password doesn't work. This is how to do it:

1. Go to http://www.daysofwonder.com/login

2. Select "Sign in through Steam" and use your Steam account name and password to login.

3. Go to your account page and select "Merge with another account".

4. Now log in with your regular DoW account and password.

And as for the original question: No, it is not possible to change Days of Wonder account using the same Steam account.
