Game crashes on Windows 8 when trying to start it
I would relly like to play the game but cannot get it to start on my Windows 8 System. Also chaning the Setting to win7 compatibility doesnt help. The Screen flashes for a second, the second time i try to run it I get a support msg but the game crashes again. Does anyone have similar problems or a solution?

I have been playing it for a couple of days on Steam and all of a sudden it says the file is corrupt...have had to go back to the original game to keep playing. Hopefully someone will be able to help us out...

I've also tried to uninstall the game (and removing the Ticket to Ride sub-directory and re-downloading it again, but no luck...

Same thing here on Win7 after steam did the convert files update. I have a ticket in with Steam and DoW. Will update with anything I get back from them.

Immediate crash to desktop upon trying to launch for me too, with no error message, on Window 7 :( (had just bought the additional DLC.)

Just sent a ticket to DoW and Steam too... Hope they fix it.

I fixed it!! (thanks to Days of Wonders' quick reply!)

Uninstalling and reinstalling the game is not enough -- we also need to delete the remaining folder where the game is installed (old files left over after the update are what's apparently causing the problem):

- In Steam, go to your Library
- Right-click on Ticket to Ride
- Choose Delete Local Content...
- Confirm
- In Windows' Explorer, remove the directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ticket to ride
- And then, back in Steam, click Play Game on Ticket to Ride, which will redownload it.

Worked for me! :) Hope it works for you guys too.
