Is this game good?

For some reason I'm very intrigued by this game and I have no idea why. I mean looking at gameplay pics it doesn't look that great. So I guess my quesion is, is it good? Also I have some cards if anyone was willing to trade for this game

Well you guys were right. I got the game + the dlc, and I absolutely love it! Took me awhile to get the hang of it a first, but once I did ive been doing very good. I win more games than I loose, not saying it's easy by any means, it actually takes a lot of strategy. Thanks for recomending it :)

Already plan to get Smallworld when Steam gets it next month. Me and friends play that over Vassal pretty regularly. Would like to see more board games get the digital treatment. Arkam Horror especially.

I agree with Geobaldi. There are so many board games that would be perfect for the digital treatment mainly because I'm always up for a game but playing partners can be hard to come by for an anti-social outcast such as myself.

Don't forget with these digital boardgame versions you can always jump on youtube and watch some lets play of the actual game. The PC version shouldn't vary too much in the rule set and play (although the android version might be a little different to fit on a smaller device).

The trick with digital board games is not converting the game to electronic format - it is coming up with a good AI. Also, while Arkham Horror might sound like a good conversion it is a team game - hoiw would you tell the computer "you go over threre and close that gate while I take care of these monsters" and have it argue back "but I have better combat and you have an Elder Sign, you need to go through the gate." It just wouldn't work out unless you controlled all the investigators.

However, casual games like Ticket to Ride might work okay. This one is on my buy list as a "light enough to tempt a non-gamer to play" but I might just get this electronic version first. I did this with Elder Signs for android and I can't see buying it in physical form.

Now give me something like Descent: Journeys in the Dark where the heroes must be player controlled and the opponent can be AI or player and I'd be in for that!

I have the early access to Talisman Digital Deluxe also. It is an okay true-to-4th-base-game rendition, and its interesting to see how the interface is shaping up.

However, for many of these games I still prefer boards. In fact, I think I'll go play Eldrtch Horror solo again right now!

I think that if you've ever played a game like Catan you'll enjoy this. The computers move very fast and I find that sometimes I miss their move.

No one ever plays online anymore but when someone is playing it's really fun.

I would also recommend that you buy the actual boardgame and have some fun time with friends and/or family, it is an amazing game!
