But it is worth it. I think I bought literally all versions of ticket to ride (ipad, android, steam...don't know why) but it gives me freedom to play on whatever device I choose. However, the base game for each platform is a separate purchase.
Also keep in mind the game is cross-platform. Meaning that if you play on the iPad, your opponents might be players on Steam or the Android version.
