I can't buy the neptune ship?!

Hey, I have a confusing issue.... maybe a bug, maybe not...

So, I have about 152,000 credits total, including my ship's value and what's in my account.
The neptune costs 145,000, and for some reason, the game won't let me trade for it. when i first attempted to purchase it, i was in my starter ship. what's funny, is it let me buy the Europa, which i did. now that i've acquired even more creds, I have more than enough to purchasethe neptune, but it STILL won't allow me to.

Do i have to be a certain rank or something? or is it a bug?

I know that in SG2 you cant fly certain ships till you have a certain rank, so I wouldnt be suprised. I'll keep an eye out for that ship and see if I can figure it out. Wondering also if the ships special ability is something you have to have a perk for, like cloaking? just a thought, ill see if anything else comes to mind as i play further.

Also, I doubt the special ablility has anything to do with your skills, as my old ship had jamming, and I didn't have that skill. Just a thought!

It should be a little more detailed on the ship description in the shipyard i think... and a message should pop up telling you WHY you cant buy it if its not a bug... hint hint developers wink wink...

another thing to try... just because... try completely unfitting your current ship before trying to trade? maybe theres a problem like... trying to carry over modules and cram a Mo armor V into an armor slot IV or something??? im reaching a bit here.. but never know...

I agree, it is quite vague on the ship details, such as how many modules of what level, etc. Also, I already tried unfitting my ship, to no avail.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure it's my rank that's the issue. but hey, i quite like my new europa, and I can't fill all the weapon modules anyway, so hey, start small I guess!

It was most likely that the cost of your old ship includes the power source that comes with it. Which at that level is probably 25k. You just needed a bit more money.

Yeah, you don't quite get full trade-in value for the ships you are selling. Was frustrated with a similar situation, sold a bunch of my equipment, and was able to buy the ship I wanted, it seemed like I got roughly 80% of the listed tradein vale.
