How to use T-Drive??

I am new to SG1 and I have really enjoyed myself was so happy to get a copy of it if you bought SG2. But anyways I am a good ways into the game and I just bought myself a T-Drive. I am not real sure on what i'm doing wrong.. but it states that to use the T-Drive you just need to open the starmap. I have opened the starmap and tried to click on anything and everything to use the T-Drive to port to a area, but nothing seems to work.

So what am I doing wrong? How do you use the T-Drive?


EDIT: I found out how the T-Drive works.. I realized it only works for insector travel.. I thought you could port to other systems with it. But yeah if you open your Nav Map the icon is in the top right corner of the Nav Map.

Thanks for explaining the usage of the T-Drive! I also thought it could be used to jump anywhere on the Nav Map. Only after reading your post I figured out what the developers meant with "in-sector". (Yes, I am playing the game for the first time in 2020...)

Glad you got your bearings guys! I haven't played our first game in years, and returned to it when we were testing last Win 10 patch. And despite being so outdated these days, I really enjoyed it again and also got serious nostalgia kick :)

Well, since game is available in franchise bundle, we've noticed some players are still clocking hours in it, and we felt too bad for many of them on newer machines not being able to play it anymore...so we felt we need to act and try doing something. Luckily, it didn't take too long, so we weren't too diverted from Starpoint 3...
