Laggy controls fix?

So i would really like to play this game but during every battle all the controls become unresposive, While the rest of the game plays out. Then a few seconds later they work then a few seconds later they dont. Is there a fix for this, becase otherwise this game is unplayable.

I think I know what you are talking about and it is just a poor attempt to make reallistic control in space... when applying thrusters in one dirrections causes spin because of no drag. If you are using wasd to fly, like me, just hit the opposite turning button to stop spinning. This annoying design just takes some getting used to and is not game breaking. Otherwise I would say that you have a lag problem and probably time to upgrade your computer. Another "fix" would be to fly with the mouse durring combat so that you handle the same as you do durring normal flight. I hope this helps.
