Help! How can I get the game to "see" my gamepad?
I have 2 different "generic" gamepads that work with all other games, but not this one. Please help! the keyboard/mouse combo hurts my fingers!

I'm using that right now. The game can see my gamepad, but the sticks are messed up. Most games don't understand my gamepad, but x360ce allways helps. Doesn't work here though. I've put the program in Win32 and Binaries folders

If you can't get it working with the suggestions here, try using something like joytokey or Xpadder.
This. My left stick has the y axis flipped, and my right stick seems to me all over the place; if I point up, it shoots left. This makes no sense.

Please specify what gamepad you are trying to use.

If you want an easy sollution for practically all gamepads, unplug your controller, restart the computer, plug it back in, start up Steam, run Waves, and see if it works.

This is why you can flip the X and Y axis of each stick individually in the Game settings screen.
