32bit DX9?

It doesn't surprise me, really. I mean, Borderlands 2 is 32 bit and DX9, and that's a fairly new game created by a HUGE developer. The API's used are determined by the game's requirements. If it doesn't need over 4GB RAM, then 32 bit is fine. If tessellation isn't used and the total number of polygons is fairly low, DX9 is great (lower-end API's are easier to run, anyway). The technician's creedo KISS comes to mind: Keep It Simple S****** (final word omitted for courtsey).

The OP probably thinks that the use of some other/newer graphics API would automatically make the game look different/better. Which is a very false assumption.
