It's a BIG pity that weapon can't be upgraded.
Face countless enemies but our little ball can only shoot those dots....If there are more weapons maybe this game can be better.

Use bombs. You can get lots of them.

But how could i know if i have a bomb?

There's an audible announcement, hehe - "Bomb ready".

The real rush from this game comes from getting mega combos and a VERY long string of bombs going. It's like inertia based, the better you do, the better you CAN do, but if you die the enemy count goes down and it takes a while to get that string going again.

Very awesome game. It's not built around upgrades and all that fluff; it just takes a winning core mechanic and runs with it.

Keep playing, you'll get better and will probably end up loving the game.

But still, upgradeable weapons would be awesome. Bombs help but allowing your weapon to upgrade throughout the game would be awesome.

They would have to re-design the entire game if they added upgradable weapons. MAybe a future mode for it, but it wouldn't work with the game as it is now.

I saw a topic about a newer game they were making that maybe that could ahve it.

This game is pretty great as is imo. You just have to learn to use the tools they give you like the slo-mo and bombs. Read the FAQs and "How to play" obviously for when you get bombs and how the gmae works.

Here's the topic about Waves: Arena Tactics (ie. Waves 2). You got your wisha nd then some with new weapons:

In a way upgrades are kind of stupid. You just have to keep playing and racking up "experience points" to get a better weapon which makes it so that anyone with no skill can win. The way this game works you have to actually learn how it works, exploit that, and improve your shooting and dodging skills.

Waves isn't really that hard either as it is. If you keep playing it, you'll get better at it and figure out what you have to do. I think most people can beat the game with practice.

There's also an alarm, a high beeping sound indicating it's available. Oh, and bombs are not "stored" - when the beebing stops you lose it.

In other words, the game was balanced to have only those dots and bombs.

By other side, this is the beauty of Waves: you can get to score cap with the same (and only) weapon you began. That's YOU who upgrades, not the virtual character.

Agreed.
