Idea for a New Terrain
Who else feels that an area modeled around places like Red Rock Canyon, Capitol Reef National Park, Glen Canyon and Canyonlands National Park would be amazing looking?

I don't know about anyone else. But when I first got hold of the Zubr revolver, I just got a strong whiff of the old west. And simply - I think such a terrain would be amazing with the RV4 engine.

Gigantic cliffs, river systems winding through deep valleys, trails taking you from the lowest gorges to the highest overwatches.

Not to mention the Navajo Sandstone and how great the sunlight would make the colours pop out at times.

Plus it'd be fun flying a Pawnee or a Blackfoot through such a terrain since they have to do with Native Americans which populated such areas. (Pawnee, Blackfoot, Navajo, Choctaw, Cherokee, Camanche, etc.)

*I do realize that it takes a considerable amount of time and effort to create these terrains. This is only a thought that I'm making known.

Unfortunately we're still waiting on what I've dubbed "BI Tools 3" (Arma 3-specific mod tools), and at last check the game can't do underground terrain features/interiors...

Oh I realized that underground passages like tunnles don't seem to be able to be possible. I was thinking, however, of such places done in a fassion like the cove in Stratis. Making tunnles from piling rocks atop one another.

But - did you think I had hinted towards that? I don't see where I typed anything having to do with that.

This really irks me. Its 2013 for grud's sake. Other engines could do stuff like this long, long ago. Every time I start to want to make maps for this game, I think, oh yeah, it can't do this, and it can't do that, and I get discouraged. CryEngine could do all this stuff way back in 2007.
Hell, I can remember playing Urban Terror back in 2002, and we had underground tunnels in the map Ramell. 2002!

I shouldn't bump old threads, but I think a Canyon map would be quite interesting.

Maybe I should learn how to create a map and get on to it!
