Dismemberment and gore
WHY NO GIBS?

ARMA wants to provide most realistic military war game experience ever, part of that is crawling thru fields of burnt rib cages and splintered limbs!

Any chance in ARMA III we will finally get some gore and limbs flying off, heads exploding to bits, and bodies turning to dust from tank shells?

You're trolling, right?

Why would you think that?

It's a war game.

I am tired of next gen engines showing corpses who were hit by a tank shell and only have a few scratches.

Even Operation Flashpoint 2 had dismembered bodies, and that (While an alright game.) wasn't anywhere close to ARMA... I'm sure you know the history.

I agree! I remember blowing bad guys legs, arms, and heads off on the old "Soldier of Fortune" game. That game is like 13 years old too.

Yeah man, going as far back as DOOM there are bodies blowing open.

How come the more next gen games get, the less gibs are around?

Quake had body parts BOUNCING AROUND THE ROOM after a rocket!

ARMA has HUGE guns!

There should be piles of mush all over the place!

Yeah! Soldier of Fortune was insane! It certainly takes away from the realism, of a "War Simulator", if the realities of war are left out, it changes the whole mood, atmosphere and dynamics of the experience.

I approve of gibs. Soldiers should get all that psychology attack too.

A mental break down from too much psychological stress would be insane, the higher your rank the more psychological stress you can withstand or something!

Agreed! ;)

I agree . It would be more realistic . It also would be cool if your guy could fight for his life with a leg or arm missing after so much damage without healing on real life mode or maybe you have to burn your stump so you don't bleed out ?
Laerrus Apr 29, 2013 @ 5:06pm
Yeah, like hardcore skill level simulates total battle damage; they already make us crawl around with busted legs, might as well blow the ♥♥♥♥ers clean off!

A shell shock would be crazy, so when a tank shell hits close enough to infantry, anyone who does survive is stunned for half a second from blood and guts all over them and the concussion...

Even just the gibs and location based damage would be awesome as ♥♥♥♥...

Agree, agree agree! Maybe you could pick up one of your blown off arms and then charge and beat the %%%% out of the dude that naded you ;)

But in real life... just the bullet impact is enough to knock you out of action for more than enough time, even if it gets stopped by your vest!

lolololol
Hand to hand with hands combat!

They could do this, but it would require the rating to be incresed to R18+ in some countries.

It's a war game... Rating should be last of the worries...
