3D editor?
I remember they were going to give us a 3D editor that can work with interchangeably with the 2D one. I think it was going to have realtime mode. We need it to place units on buildings or in lookout structures. The house point system is not much good, and they are rarely in a good position. Either way, how do you access the 3D one?

I think its Alt.E or Cntrl.E or so from the main menu (for arma 2 anyway, it might be still in the proscess of being made... I will try to find it for you :).

Thanks.

I haven't done any testing but I did see a video on YT that worked on the Beta. No idea about the release version. The 3D editor was not accessed via the front end. You have to jump through hoops, and dig into the directories, and make and use command line switches to get it to work. All very cumbersome. The editor was incomplete - but usable. Then to get it to work with 2D, you have to swap the XYZ coords of placeables.

A smart programmer will probably release something one day to automate the whole process.
* Obvious hint to the forum. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink - say no more ;)

EDIT:
Here is one such video:-
