Arma 3 FPS bouncing and stuttering.
Ok,so,when I downloaded arma 3 last night it worked perfectly,and the graphics were brilliant ect. But tonight,I am facing FPS and stuttering issues. At first I get 30-65 FPS and then after a couple of minutes I get 14 FPS. Then 15 seconds later,it returns to 60 FPS and repeats the process over again. Even when I change the settings to low it dosent make a difference.

My specs are:

4GB ram
500GB HDD
GTX 460 1GB
AMD phenom X4 955 @ 3.20GHZ

Any help at all is appreciated.

EVERYONE with AMD has the same problem.

Same problem. I have noticed it depends on the server though. But no matter what server I end up on, even if I'm getting decent FPS it will freeze for about 15 seconds every 10 minutes or so.

Set in "Arma3Alpha.cfg"
under (C: \ Users \ .......... \ Documents \ Arma 3 alpha)
value GPU_MaxFramesAhead = 1000, 1 to
This should improve the FPS a little bit!

Tried replaying again last night,was very smooth,and FPS were fine. Gonna retry today and see what happens =) Cheers Tellminator!

Most servers in Arma 3 are private servers with enough processing power. This can be seen when more than 25-30 players online are on the same server then the FPS to their knees!

Hello everyone
I keep this brief, I have a decent gaming computer and I can play most games on full graphics but when it comes to arma 3 my fps drops dramatically. However I have found a solution that does not effect graphics, while DRAMATICALLY boosting performance.

This little fix does not need to be done every time, but the video says it does.
This fix made my arma 3 go from low graphics and poor fps (arount 10) to Nearly MAX graphics at 40-60 fps.

Hope this helped the arma 3 gamers out there trying to fix there performance.
