So everyone who owns GTX 580 crashes? i was never able to play without a crash and it seems the only people who complain about this are GTX 580 owners

u use wrong driver for sure, 331.93 driver is the latest stable for 500 series cards
u can try 314.22, 331.58( the special one, not the whql),
285.62 whql may work as well, i was running perfectly and fast arma 3 with 295 but that driver overheat my gpu, so i stopped using it.i use 331.93 cos it is latest one that truly supports my 560 ti.

avoid all 300 drivers, and 295(overheating warning,no matter how u cool it, but maybe only on 560), 296, these above i listed are the best/stable with 500 cards

Where are you getting this from? I use a 580 and I have had almost no problems. Maybe I got lucky.
Faultron Feb 22 @ 4:22am
usually 400/500 series cards have problem with drivers.
especially 460/560, for me works how i listed above.and many users had different problem on forums if u look up.
this is specific for 460/560
https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/621899/geforce-drivers/desktop-internet-browser-freeze-thread-w-geforce-460-560-gpus-updated-for-nb-12-5-13-page79-/1/

thats why i thought 580 can have similar problems.
and gtx 580 should not have problems in arma, he has driver problem, or the problem is not the vga.arma was introduced first in 2012 with an gtx 580 card.

My 560 has never given me issues ever under several drivers but who knows. I hope you get your issues resolved soon.

Currently using 334.67 but again I've never had issue with any of the drivers.

Used to have a GTX 560 Ti and I had no problem to run it at all.
Faultron Feb 22 @ 4:49pm
i never had problem with 560 ti running arma
i had problem with drivers like:all 290-300 whql series driver except 314.22 in general
-freezes at win startup
-freezes at youtube streaming
-blue death launching a game
-blue death at white backround while idling in webpage
-serious overheat problems no matter what cooler u used (295.73)

but these problems are mainly for 460/560 especially ti versions and has nothing to do with arma series, but they finally give us a fixed driver after like 8-9 months. and the problem was even bigger when ppl couldnt use their cards under win 8, cos 314.22 driver doesnt support win 8, and was the latest stable driver for our cards.

anyway @Killerwhale
how is ur memory setting (ram and pagefile), do u overclock cpu or ram?
what driver do u use for gtx 580?
Deximer Feb 22 @ 6:20pm
EVGA Gtx 580 here, no issues.
Killerwhale Feb 22 @ 8:12pm
Faultron, i didnt do much with page file or ram, but i did overclock my cpu.
it seems i have found a solution, INCREASE the voltage using msi afterburner. played for 1 hour with no crash. went from 1000v to 1050v. no crash

anyways, how do you make AI plant explosive charge? he is already explosive specialist and has the backpack with the explosives. i'm using the code ---- this fire["PipeBombMuzzle"] but he lays nothing

i crash all the time with my gtx580. never in dayz tho :) this game is broken
Killerwhale Feb 23 @ 9:55am
try increasing the voltage, have you? just increase by 50

GTX 580 MSI: After multiple crashes in SP and MP increasing the voltage by 50 using MSI Afterburner, works for me. No more crashes. Thank you Killerwhale !!!!!
