Arma 3

How much better ArmA 3 Could have been?
Do you think ArmA 3 would have been better if it would have been developed on modern times equipment (like ArmA 2) or more of the futuristic equipment and sceneries?

I personally still like ArmA 2 more because it has the 'You're actually standing in the middle of the desert' kind of feel to it, and all the futuristic equipment in arma 3 seems too weird to me.
Feel free to express your thought on the subject!

Personally I'm sick of AK's and M4's...I like the more streamlined (yet modular) take on future firearms. The fact that most variants still shoot the same caliber bullets as the "traditional" guns just goes to show that people want "form over function"...I'd rather have it the other way

As for the Altis, I like it a lot more than "rusty-brown" Chernarus and "light-tan" Takistan (not to take away from the actual map/terrain's which were excellent)

All that said, I still have most of the Arma2 content ported over so there's really nothing to complain about

The same debate again and again.

Arma 2 and Arma 3 are diferent games...

Quake 3 will be better if he has the the same scritp/multiplayer than Quake 1?

Arma 2 will be better if will an exact copy than orginal Arma?

Different games different ideas.

it is series of games after all... all BIS games except for Arma 3 and gaea mission are based on modern times.

All the arma series lies on the Armaverse universe.

And most of the gear is based in reailty u still use the same reasoning to chose for example between the 6mm or 7mm mg rifle marksman is same as a2 5mm m4\ak or 7mm m14\ak, thought it would bother me but really not noticed and besides all that a2 content is possible through a3 as well as a3 stand alone mods.

Just fine how it is, just needs more content "COUGH" much more. And not require mods.

"And most of the gear is based in reailty " to now...

Now Arma 3 (using his own "Armaverse") is setting on 2035.

The problems I have from ArmA 3 stem around other things, like being able to rotate so quickly when prone, or body armor absorbing so many more shots than they used to despite using a heavier round, or still being able to walk fine when you break your legs, or the dead set accuracy you have even when your arms are shot up. The settings and equipment don't bother me nearly as much as those things do. There are plenty of worthwhile improvements though, which keep me from going back to ArmA 2.
