Arma 2 is pretty realistic, although the mechanics in the game for support are a little flawed.

Also, that isn't just one mod, that is a bunch of mods.

I guess I would have to say the most realistic military game ever created where you're infantry, tanks, and can call in support is Red orchestra 2.

Come on man no way dont get me wrong really good realistic game, and does trump arma in CQB but hasnt even close to armas scale, and yeah lotta mods in vid and content from a2 but why would u hold THAT against it, its not hard to mod with arma how many mods you got for RO2? But yeah RO2 very worthy PC war game and compliments my arma experience.

RO2 Imo is a BF destroyer if more kids played that instead of BF would have a more intelligent pool of young gamers.

Arma 3 would be a really good game, if it was only playable.

Scotland. I write how i talk but dont use scotty lingo in print so may be strange to yank or someting, but can see clearly what iam writing f**k face, Why do u spend so much time writing how bad arma is dont you wanna play something u enjoy and try and improve that title.Or maybe u just upset cause u cant get arma to run on your super rig, personally arma 3 and couple of other sims only games that thrashes my rig the rest is all graphics and no substance,imagine how much i could ♥♥♥♥ BF community by wingeing its not up to mil sim standards and should be rebuilt into something "I" want.

Have you ever played RO2? If you had, you'd know it's probably the most realistic game designed around warfare. Arma 3 is like an arcade shooter, takes a heap of bullets to kill a target. I LOL at the range of Mortars. Mortars somehow have 15+km range, even though in real life they have like 4-7km range depending on size of round.

Yeah big fan of RO2 ive read more of batlle o stalingrad than any other battle and yeah does a great job of realism but the scope is limited to CQB in one battle in ww2, Arma is 100x bigger in scope just takes a while to get best out of it armas best and worst problem, I take for granted that ive played since flashpoint and can bend the engine to my will, for example I can watch the evening news and throw together a mission related to the current news ( in a2 had units and maps for every conflict since ww2 a3 will get there too) but yeah like pc gaming armas not just a game\system to play but a hobbie too.

Arma Vanilla, especially Arma 3 is pretty shallow and lacking in features and polish.

like the video the OP posted shows, it takes mods, lots of mods to get Arma to that higher plane of gaming.

Where BIS have gone wrong with Arma 3, where they missed a great opportunity to take the franchise to the next level, is completely ignoring the many community made mods and features that so well enhanced Arma 2, those add ons that took a good game and made it really awesome.

Failing to intergrate some of these features into the base game was a terrible miscalculation and will hurt the games future as more and more mods appear fracturing the already scattered playerbase.

Because we look like haters, but the fact is that we really tried hard to love and dig this game, but failed to do so because of the technical incompetence that is BIS.

It's like getting betrayed by a girl you gave your heart for. That's why we are so upset.
