How to do the Insane easily?

Hey guys, I have almost 40 hours of gameplay and I finish the game on normal by this moment. I don't know if I have spended so mush time because I was doing the "Single Minded" achievement, with makes my game a lot harder, but the game, on normal, it was hard to me. I do beans with strong shields all the time, but I don't know if this is the best solution for insane. I'm a achievement hunter, and I can't spend so much time in a game, so, what is the best build to do the game on insane?

Don't say drones + cloak. I do it on normal with the last level drones, and my ship was constantly without energy, even with the reactor build lv 10, and the drones don't do so much thing. Well, I don't try bombs, launchers or even beans. Someone who finish the Insane can help me with this task?

i cant give you much advice but cannons are your friend, mines used to be amazing but i dont think they are any more but worth a shot trying them.

Hey dude, I'm not sure if you suggest the cannons because their damage. I test the cannons and the only good thing was their range. The beans do a lot of more damage.

im doing insane pacifist style.

in this approach you mostly farm goons by bribing civs to be neutral and UTA to be neutral. then go to civ vs UTA and let them kill each other.

you get get lots of goons and blackboxes without ever killing anything.

you won't have any enemies. everyone will be netraul. you have to give a lot of goons to UTA to bribe the warp gate.

you can make it to lvl 28 zones with this strategy before you cannot continue. You have a 150 goon limit cap and the bribe for lvl 29 war gates requires 152. lvl 28 is 150 goon bribe

you can get a large ship without ever killing anything. then play the game normally or continue this strategy.

it's like 3 hours of super boring low lvl farming. the grind gets a LOT faster after you enter a lvl 18ish zone.
