I was recommended this game by a friend, and after hearing many good things about it, decided to try it.
From the start the game looks beautiful, it erupts with color and intricate backdrops and foregrounds. Seconds after starting it, you hear the voice of the narrator, one of the two voices in the game. He tells your entire story in real time, and with such a beautiful voice you can't help but be drawn in. The game complements the art with a beautiful soundtrack that fits in with all the fighting and areas in the game. The combat feels like it's lacking though, with the main portion just blocking and attacking when an enemy is stunned, or just sitting and waiting for an enemy to stop shooting so you can deal a fourth of its health and then wait again. The entire system felt repetitive and easy, only stepping up when you are being hit from all sides and then you can drink health almost instantly. Luckily the game is not supposed to be a hard one and mainly a storytelling experience with interactivity. The replayability in the game is decent, its not a story I want to immediately replay for the other endings, but I do feel that in a couple months I can come back into the game with a fresh mind and enjoy it all over. To complement the story, the game has "Proving grounds" which are basically time-trials, defending points, and other things that you can play to set a high score and unlock prizes. The main point to the game is the cheap cost, you can buy it off tf2outpost for around 2 keys ($5.00) and for about 6 hours of story that's very good.
Overall I'd give the game an 8.6/10
It's a game that I'd recommend to friends and would enjoy every so often, but the lack of replayability and poor combat makes me lower the score.
