Bastion On Steam Not Running on Mac OS X Lion

Hi all,
I love playing Bastion but am having some issues at the moment. I can't access the game from Steam. When I click Bastion>play in the steam library page, nothing happens. The game works if I play the standalone version that you can download as an app from the humble bundle site, but not on steam. I was wondering if there's a fix yet.
I'm on a late 2012/early 2013 Macbook Pro with Mac OS X Lion installed.
I've tried directly running the app, using low resolution mode, and googling it, but nothing works.

When I try to run it on a Macbook Pro with Mac OS X (Mavericks) I only get a white screen and a slightly darker square acting as the mouse cursor :/

Me too. Mavericks on MBP. Did you all upgrade or install a clean version or buy a new Mac?

if you run through the steam will not work, a white screen. With some other games I have the same problem

Yes, problem seems to be in the client (which is bad since it is probably harder to reach Steam developers to fix it than actual game developers). This solution works for me (runs from a file), but does not runs in Steam Environment, so achievments and that stuff :(

Same problem here. OSX Mavericks, 13.3" rMBP

Same problem with the white screen on OS X Mavericks (early 2013 rMBP).
Launching the .app from /Users/username/Library/blabla works, but dialogs are weird and it's not exactly how I thinks it's supposed to work. Feels like it's a wrapper-error.

Same here.

As a workaround, go into the game's properties and disable the "Enable Steam Community In-Game" option. That seems to fix the problem.

Game is not starting for me too.
None of the workarounds (stating app directly or disabling steam-community) worked for me.
MacBook Pro/Mac Pro/Hackintosh - each with 10.9
system.log says "com.apple.launchd.peruser.501[163] (com.wb.Bastion.269312[33202]): Exited with code: 127"
