Even though I love Bastion, I don't think this is the game that should go in sequel.

I highly doubt they would make a Bstion 2 they werent even gonna make DLC for gods sake!

I think the only way you could continue the story is to have them land somewhere and try and integrate into society elsewhere, or land off in the woods and try and survive and build a new society. But that game would be REALLY different and nothing like the original, switching genres entirely. In the former case, that would likely mean ditching your weapons, which is one of the staples of what makes this game so engaging. And in both cases, you'd have to interact with other people, which something the original avoided neigh-compleately.

But really, where the story ended is most likely the best place to leave it. Nothing could really be gained from a sequel.

Surely a spiritual sequel would suffice.

I dunno, I kinda like the idea of having no weapons. Cos really, what did having the weapons actually achieve? What did the Bastion achieve? You're told that it's to re-build the civilization, but all you do in the game is go round destroying things.

I think this game doesn't need a sequel. It stands on it's own. Besides, Supergiant games has no plans for a sequel at all.

new game plus kinda is the sequel. the storyline wont allow for bastion 2.

As much as I'd love a sequel, the plot doesn't realy leave room for it. However, does the sequel need to be set directly after the first finnishes and does it have to have the Kid as the main character? Maybe seeing the calamity from some else's perspective would be interesting

Supergiant has declared that they're not planning Bastion 2, and it's sad :(

The game ended on a perfect note. It does NOT need a sequel. That would just ruin Bastion.
I'm glad Supergiant isn't making a sequel. Now a PREQUEL, that would be a different story.

Sharing the sentiment that it ended perfectly. It set out what it was supposed to do and finished it.

If there is ANY sequel, it should be in the form of a spiritual sequel at best, or within the same universe (generations later perhaps, but having nothing to do with Bastion itself other than saying that the world moved on and survived?). I'm even against a prequel because we already know what happened; the entire point of Rucks' retelling is so that we can imagine for ourselves what Caelondia used to be in the midst of what it is currently.

The ending of Bastion was the first game in a, long time, that made me apoligize. I'm sorry, so, so, sorry.
