Can't view items/abilities (Linux)
Every time I press tab to look at the pack the game automatically scrolls really quickly through all the items and I can't read their descriptions. The same thing happens with weapons/tonics in the distillery and armory, as well as the list of things to talk about with the stranger in the Bastion. The rest of the game seems to work fine but this makes it very hard to enjoy, and switching from keyboard to mouse control does nothing. Has anyone experienced/managed to fix this problem?

So I plugged in a gamepad and now it's fine (using keyboard and mouse for controls still).

Same problem here, using Bastion v. 1.4 on Linux 64-bit with the NVIDIA drivers

I have same problem on Linux. What I noticed that usb-dongle, of my Microsoft wireless keyboard/mouse, actually registers dummy non-functioning gamepad device. Maybe Bastion assumes that this dummy gamepad should be used for input. Maybe dongle has gamepad input because Microsoft uses same dongle/hardware for gamepads?

From linux point of view, this device registers joystick with 36 axises?! (in addition of mouse and keyboard).

Found solution for my issue.

I used command 'jscal -c /dev/input/js0' to zero-calibrate the dummy gamepad device. Then saved calibration with 'sudo jscal-store'. This calibration should then be autoloaded when problematic device is repluged / computer booted.

You find these commands from 'joystick' package on Ubuntu.
