Please help.
I had the same problem and I just turned off the steam overlay, it works now.
Immediately after trying to launch the game, some log output appears in the console application:
20.09.15 10:19:14,105 com.apple.launchd.peruser.502[176]: (com.wb.Bastion.59520[1084]) Exited with code: 127
The process seems to terminate instantly with an error (whatever code 127 may mean...).
Do this:
In your library, when you click on Bastion - also hold down the control key - this opens a contextual menu - Properties.
Under the General Tab - deselect the Steam Overlay box.
Yabow!
There ya go!
thank you
But I cannot launch Steam version on the same Mac 😱
Uncheck Steam Overlay box doesn't work
Game path of steam version is fixed in a file.
You cannot change the default install folder!!!
Or you will need modify the path in the file manually:
Go to the folder where you install Bastion, like xxx/Steam/steamapps/common/Bastion
Hold Control Key and Click the installed Bastion
Choose view context on the menu
Enter Contents\MacOS
And use text editor to modify the file Bastion
Just replace the
"${HOME}/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Bastion/Bastion.app/Contents/MacOS/_Bastion"
with you current folder path
enjoy it 😩 (too crazy)
@MrDisgrace, you are everything but a disgrace. I have saved my SteamLibrary to another internal drive on my iMac and haven't run into this issue before. Your fix worked perfectly. Thanks very much!
