Bastion black screen fixes not working

I tried all the fixes mentioned in the FAQ as well as the 1280x720 resolution setting in the launch options but they do not work. Disabling steam in-game community did not work as well. It works just fine on my laptop but on my desktop which has much higher specifications it does not work and only loads into the black screen soundtrack game.
