Is this point-and-click?
...like Torchlight, or WASD?

Thank you.

It's a top down perspective Hack-and-slash.

You can choose either one of those control schemes in the options, or use a gamepad. I think officially it supports 360 controllers, but I know I've heard of people finding ways to use others.

gamepad works perfectly.

Free roam WASD, mouse to aim & fire, space to evade, shift to block, E to interact.

Wield both primary & secondary weapons, upgrades, power-ups, special abilities.

Hard to find any fault with this game. Good story, great art, great sound, good variety & gameplay.

Thoroughly enjoyable & recommended.

(Soundtrack alone almost worth the price of entry.)

In addition to the good explanation of the controlls, I should add that it's also built for a controller. I think it was designed around them. In fact, I hated the PC controls, but after a while, I found them to be better than a controller. Go figure.

I agree. While keyboard & mouse controls do limit your movement a bit compared to gamepad by forcing a digital (WASD) control scheme instead of analog (stick), the mouse adds significant accuracy to aiming compared to stick aiming. I think that pro does outweigh the con as far as performance goes.

However I think I'm personally a fan of the overall feel of a gamepad.

It's just action hack'n'slash (WSAD).

Oh, you can do whatever you want with the controls! I've messed with it to my liking. Right now, I have point-and click walking, point to aim, A and S as my weapons, RMB as my shield, Q for specials, space for rolling... it's all up to you. You can make your own controls as crazy or obsure as you want, and then it'll be perfect. I like my setup because I can tap where I want to go, then operate as if I was on a rail shooter from point A to point B.

This game is brilliant, and you NEED to get it. The music, storyline, graphics, and gameplay are simply perfect. We can help you play wth the setup until you find a control system you like.
