Win7 Get It Workin' Instructions for AVP2!!! AVP2!! AVP2!!

Played this 2010 version and it only made me miss AVP2 MORE!! Finally decided to buy a AVP2 copy on Amazon but it doesnt work out of the box with Win7. Getting it working was EASIER than I thought. You only have to download/install 3 files to get it to play and the NOCD_exe if you dont wanna need the CD everytime you play. You'll need a legit copy for the install but MAN is it worth it to play this classic again. I'm so STOKED to play this that I thought I'd share the info for those of us that ONLY bought this version because AVP2 isnt on Steam. Enjoy!!

Install AVP2
Install the 1.0.9.6 Patch
Install the Sierra Multiplayer Update
Install the LithFAQ Savior Mod 1.5.2
(Skip the Massive Map Pack 2 - [Optional] 5.6GB)

Start the game, click on the OPTIONS button.
Add the following command: -rez avp2p5.rez to the Command Line Parameters box.
Click the check mark the box for "Always Specify Command Line Parameters."


Install NOCD_exe: (Just backup then replace original AVP2.exe with this modified one):

Some of the multiplayer servers are still working but I bought it to replay the single-player mode as a ALIEN!!! (I'll end up play all modes though...)

Everytime I try to get AVP2 working on my computer I come across a problem. This time I can get the launcher to work and when I click play, it starts loading something and then doesn't. Have you encountered this issue?
