Game freezes at player hosted match

so i am trying to play a game with a friend. he started a player hosted server, i see him in the list, but every time i click on join, the game freezes (also taskmanager says so) and i have to restart it. same happens if i try to connect with him via steam.
i have no problems with "internet hosted servers". i can join and play on them normally.

tried verify cache data yet? I would also look into port forwarding for you but game freezing seems more like a verify cache issue.

Or you must update your GPU driver.
Dont know what is your GPU, if is oldest then try use lowest resolution in the game graphic option!
Also download framentwork 4.5 and newest vcredist
Then verify cache data files

This game also hangs on waiting for 2 more players via quick match,,,and i mean just hangs always forever on waiting
