Desperately needed option - STAY IN GARDEN
OK, the game is very unusual and cool, but one thing that is extremely annoying is the interruption that occurs whenever I collect a Spectra. Instead of allowing me to continue chasing the other ones, I have to go through 30+ seconds of totally useless animations, it kicks me out of the garden and back to the main map, it even "bumps" me up, so I have to wait for it to go back...

Could the game be updated so that it asks "Stay in garden (to chase further Spectras)? Yes/No"

While we're at it, could you please make the intro logos and "credits" skippable with a spacebar/ESC key?

Thank you in advance for these changes.

Thanks for the suggestions!

It's strange, because if I recall correctly you didn't automatically and forcfully warp to a new garden when it opened up in the PS3 version.

Well, in PC version, if a new garden gets opened, you MUST play at least one level in it, and whenever you collect any Spectra, the current level ENDS, you go to the garden menu, and you have to select it again (of course after seeing some very slowly animated score screens...) -- only to appear at the same spot where the last Spectra was.

I'd really love an option to skip this whole "Score - Exit - Jump - Reenter" procedure. Those are 30+ seconds that are not necessary.

I agree with you completly! I'd love this option too.

In addition to this, I wonder how the achievement "Get 2 spectra in 1 jump" can ever be obtained when playing on the PC.

Does anybody know? Does it still count as 1 jump after I have visited the main menu in between?

And in Garden 14 you reach the highest position of the garden after you collect the hardest spectra, so the garden ends immediately. Are you supposed to 'save' an easier one to be able to continue?

If you replay any garden that you've already completed, you have to collect all 5 spectra. So both achievements can be obtained.

Thanks for your reply. After finishing my 75th spectra today I tried this and it indeed works.

One piece of information that I missed by the way, is that your timer goes down faster when you have collected more spectra. About 15 seconds per spectra is my estimate, so your timer lasts 1 minute less for the last spectra compared to the first. This is a rather unnecessary addition to the timer that is already stressful enough anyway. Now it seems better to go for the hardest spectra first and save the easier ones for last.

Agreed. I HATE grabbing a spectra, having to watch that screen that shows me how many spectra I have, getting shot up, having to land back in the garden, and then getting to start again. The worst is when I've collected enough spectra to go to another garden but I haven't finished playing the one I want. Then I get violently sucked to a garden I don't want to play, haver to enter it, then have to quit and go all the way back to the garden I was at.

I agree. This breaks the flow of the game and seems like a massive design oversight. Hopefully they decide to fix it.

I agree with you all. Hows about an option to stay in a level to hoover evrything up without being interruped with a 'completed' screen? Would really help the flow as the above fine fellow says

I would want to stay in the garden too and not be forcefully pulled out of it and pushed into a new one.

Only read the main thread and not all the replies: I agree with you that there needs to be an option to stay in the garden. And also about the opening credit screens. And I would also suggest a faster way to navigate between gardens... not that it's too hard to do, but come on already... give us a menu that lets you just select which garden you want to go hop around in... not hop around looking for it.
