Enough with " lets play together " or " play with me " discussions littering the posts!!!!
it seems like every time i come on this discussion feed i see dozens of "lets play together " discussions what if someone has a problem and nobody will answer??? i think they should make a different discussion area just for that. Anyone agree???? comment below what you think!!!!

UPDATE i saw a discussion pinned that says post servers here

http://steamcommunity.com/app/105600/discussions/#
put them here for that safety of the General Discussion feed!!!!!!

I think that the seperate discussion area is actually a great idea, but every once in a while I like to join someone's game, just to have fun with them.

There is already a pinned thread at the top of the forum for people to post their servers but very few people seem to use it, sadly.

I too am tired of this forum being overrun with those threads.

There should *definitely* be a separate discussion for that. Well over half of all new threads are about "i wanna play, server, blah blah" and it's littering the forums.

Sure, it would only have limited efficiency; after all, there's already a pinned thread for that and it's being mostly ignored. Still, an entirely new section might be more noticeable and is bound to help at least a little bit.

Plus, you could subscribe to it if you're looking for people to play with (bonus: you'd get the literate ones), and people who subscribe to General Discussions might not be drowned in so much spam from all those "i wanna play my server is 192.168.0.x" posts.

I'm here every day and I haven't susbcribed to General Discussions. It would be insane. It's just not workable.

Oh, I see what you mean. Anyway, I can help if you want.

do moderators only have the power to pin stuff on the forums????

Good question. I'm not sure, it might take a higher level of authority to create a new subforum.

But the pinned thread, while beneficial, has had very limited impact, so I think there's no way around it anymore; a Multiplayer subforum is needed.

But it would almost certainly be ignored, just like the pinned thread.

Yes, I mentioned that earlier, it will most likely not prevent half of those posts from being made.

However, having a subforum will allow people looking for multiplayer to subscribe for immediate notification. It's incentive that the pinned thread does not provide.

I'm sure it won't fix the issue, but at this point I'll take anything I can get. The number of mulitplayer threads is just too absurd.
