Im Miti and i want to play terraria multiplayer, but my friend's terraria just dont open, and send a error message:

If he has the same problem it's not a bad idea to necro at this point.

Try to run as admin, for some it worked. Also test if the game files are valid.
Most likely though something is wrong with your XNA or .NET framework, the setups are in the main terraria install folder.

Heym i've found the solution, you probably have a hidden file, you should look for tutorials to find, it is easy to solve, but thx for comment.
if you still dont finding the file try uninstall and install in another place [Example: Docs>New File>Terraria]

I too was having massive problems with the "System.Threading.SyncronizationLockException: Object syncronization method was called from an unsychronized block of code." error... tried the install files, steam fixes, folder permissions, run as administrator, or in compatability modes... nothing worked. *cue tearing out of hair*

Just checked BitDefender logs (my av software), and there's Terraria in the log, incorrectly listed as a ransomware app. Allowed it to be a "trusted app", ran it again... bam... now working on my PC, and same fix worked for the kids PC.
