Is there any realistic way to defend against Eternia Wyverns?

I just can't figure it out.... they ALWAYS manage to land a hit on the stupid crystal, i just have no way to even notice they spawned and they already hit it... what can i do?

yeah bro all you gotta get is a time machine and wait for them to spawn and then kill them and go back in time, that way they are dead before they have spawned

If you have an explosive rod/staff/cane, put some explosives next to the crystal and next to the portals. That's how I did it.

I use ballista for the land enemies and use a weapon for flying, usually waterbolt in the first tier, shadow knife in second and daybreak in third.
