Home City Level in Campaigns usable for skirmish or online?

Hi folks,
I just bought the complete collection and started with the offline campaigns.

1) Is it possible to use the home city from the campaign (e.g. the normal AOE3) within the addons later?
2) Are the home cities from the campaign in general usable, e.g. for skirmish games (online/offline)?

I am asking because in the standard game (Act: Blood, Ice, Steel) I don't have a button to access the home city. I just started the War Chiefs expansion campaign and noticed that there is a button, but it is greyed out. So I am wondering if I can "use" the home city from the campaigns later. Online or offline...

Campaign homecities cannot be used outside of the campaign. They often contain cards which do not even exist in the standard game, so it wouldn't make sense really. You can't can use them for Skirmish nor online play.

Skirmish homecities cannot be used for online play either. You will need to enter the online service through Multiplayer -> ESO and create your online homecities on the ESO platform to play multiplayer.
