using the product key. If I re-install it, is it still valid? At the time the game was incompatable with my computer. If no, should I buy a new one for a new product key? The game is Skyrim.

You need to buy a new one. Skyrim is on offer at the moment. Trying to use a key that you have been refunded for is basically theft.

Also, why is this under Age of Empires????
